Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park is part of the biological corridor that enables the flow of species inhabiting between the Guanacaste Volcanic Mountain Range and the Tilar�n Volcanic Mountain Range. In our reserve, you will watch resident bird species, such as the Rufous Motmot, trogons, and Scrub Euphonia, as well as migratory species like the Wood Thrush bird.
Toucans, guans, and hummingbirds inhabit trees like the ficus and inga, and flowers like the heliconia L., all of which are considered the best ?restaurants? for birds. Mistico Park is an ideal place for hiking and birding. We have guides specialized in the area in charge of spotting and counting both local and migratory species.
Over 350 species of birds have been observed, including both resident and migratory. The remarkable visibility provided by the bridges also allows for appreciating the massive migrations of birds of prey between the seasons of November and April each year.

We booked a 6am bird watching tour. Our guide Gabriel was amazing. He worked so hard to spot birds, lizard, & 2 snakes that made this absolutely memorable. The hanging bridges are such a beautiful attraction. Watching the sun come up behind Aernol & hummingbirds flying around...wow, perfection
